Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Padstow, the London Inn is a cozy spot that offers a convenient launching pad for culinary adventures. During our stay, we were impressed by the local food sourcing that reflects the region's bounty. Breakfast featured fresh produce, with locally caught fish and meat from exceptional nearby farms-a delightful start to the day. The ambiance in the on-site restaurant felt inviting, ideal for unwinding after exploring the area's renowned restaurants. We enjoyed meals nearby, particularly at Rick Stein's Café and Prawn on the Lawn, both of which showcased the same pride in showcasing Cornwall's fresh offerings. While the building itself has a touch of vintage charm, it could benefit from some modernization. Our room was comfortable, equipped with good coffee and tea provisions, perfect for those leisurely mornings. The staff, despite impending changes in ownership, remained warm and accommodating, further enhancing our stay. Although parking can be a challenge in this bustling area, the location's proximity to various bars and eateries makes for easy explorations. The London Inn proves a solid choice for food lovers looking to indulge in Cornwall's rich culinary scene.
